Truck Drivers
This page is intended for truck drivers. Here you will find important information about your visit to our depot.
We are open from Mon through Fri from 6:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.
Register
There are a few important things to note before picking up or dropping off a Maersk container at our depot.
- Your company must be registered with us. You can register using this form.
- You must have a CargoCard with facial recognition.
- A reference number is required to collect a container.
- You must comply with all (safety) rules at our depot.
If your company is registered with us, we will also keep you informed of important information.
This may include: types of containers that cannot be picked up (temporarily), types of containers that are (temporarily) no longer accepted, changes to opening hours (due to weather conditions, or holidays), etc.
Please also keep an eye on our website. If there is important information to report, we share it in a ticker at the top of our website.
Our rules
Every truck driver must comply with our rules when visiting our depot. Failure to comply will result in you being denied access to our depot.
- Our Gate Inspectors will greet you kindly at our gate. We do not accept unfriendly or antisocial behavior in response.
- At pick-up or drop-off gates, reflective vests are compulsory when exiting the truck for container inspection.
- Do not park under boom barriers or on pedestrian crossings.
- Exiting the truck in the operations area (loading/offloading) is strictly prohibited.
- The speed limit at our depot is 15 km per hour. Entry and exit lanes: 30 km per hour.
- Parking or exiting the truck in traffic lanes is strictly prohibited.
- Overtaking is not allowed at any time.
- Turn off your engine during the inspection of the containers, or when waiting for your container.
- Honking your horn at and in front of our depot is not permitted.
- Chassis must be adjusted before entering the depot for container pick-up.
- After loading a container and inspection is completed in the designated zone, no coffee or lunch breaks may be taken in these areas.
- No overnight parking is permitted.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in denied access to the depot.
Traffic Flow Instructions
- Container drop-off: Follow the green arrow when entering the depot. (Do not turn left at the drop-off entrance).
- Stop at the STOP sign as indicated.
- Container pick-up: Follow the yellow arrow when entering.
- After drop-off or pick-up: Follow the blue arrow to exit.
- If a pick-up is required after drop-off, continue to follow the yellow arrow.
Reference numbers
A reference number is required to collect a container. This is provided by Maersk. You cannot pick up a container from us without a reference number.

STAR Container cannot answer any questions about reference numbers.
Accepted Prefixes
No reference number is required for the delivery of empty containers. However, the container must belong to Maersk or be leased by Maersk.
For questions about all permitted prefixes, please contact Maersk’s import team (nl.import@maersk.com).
